Grab your vacation clothes and get ready for the time of your life. If you have ever asked yourself why should you take a Celebrity cruise, the answer just got a whole lot easier. Celebrity Cruises announced today that Celebrity Reflection is getting a full glow up with 13 new spaces, and it sets sail from Fort Lauderdale in March 2027.
Let me break down what is actually coming, because some of this sounds like a resort that happens to float.
What Is Happening To Celebrity Reflection?
According to Celebrity Cruises, Reflection is the second ship in their Solstice Series to go through the company’s fleet modernization program. That is corporate speak for “we gutted the fun parts and rebuilt them better.”
The company says the transformation borrows the best ideas from across the fleet. You get Edge Series showstoppers like the Grand Plaza, fan favorites from the recently revamped Celebrity Solstice, and two concepts nobody has seen before: Orange Peel Bar & Grille and Tacos del Sol.
Celebrity Cruises president Laura Hodges Bethge framed it as evolving the guest experience, not just refreshing it. Honestly, based on the list of changes, that tracks.
The Pool Deck Is Where I Would Live
The reimagined Celebrity Pool Club is the anchor of the whole outdoor experience. Per Celebrity, we are talking two dedicated bars, expanded seating, plush daybeds, and more shade. Shade matters, people. Nobody wants to look like a rotisserie chicken by day two.
The two new poolside dining spots are the headline for me:
Orange Peel Bar & Grille. Smashburgers, grilled favorites, and frozen cocktails. You can order from your daybed. That is the dream. That is the whole vacation right there.
Tacos del Sol. A build-your-own taco stand with fresh toppings, open air, right by the pool. Tacos and a frozen drink with an ocean view? Say less.
Entertainment That Actually Sounds Fun
Here is where the ship stops playing around.
The Grand Plaza is the dramatic centerpiece. Three stories tall, Edge Series style, with a Martini Bar sitting under a giant suspended chandelier that does its own light show. Live music runs day to night. This is the spot where your “one drink before dinner” turns into missing dinner entirely.
Boulevard Lounge comes over from Celebrity Solstice with 125 seats, dueling pianos, karaoke, games, and live performances all day. Dueling pianos are undefeated. I do not make the rules.
The Parlor might be my personal favorite. It is a sports and gaming lounge with hundreds of board games, billiards, darts, big screens for the game, craft cocktails, and over-the-top milkshakes. Board games and whiskey on a boat in the Caribbean. Somebody at Celebrity understands grown folks.
Sunset Park turns the top deck into an actual park. Meditation sessions, lawn games, outdoor movies, live music, and private cabanas with dedicated attendants. There is also a Sunset Park Café for breakfast and lunch and a Sunset Bar for everything after. As somebody who preaches protecting your peace, a meditation session with sweeping ocean views is exactly my speed.
The Food Situation Is Serious
Beyond the poolside spots, Celebrity is bringing three more dining experiences aboard:
Trattoria Rossa serves Roman cuisine with pastas made in-house daily and dishes prepared tableside. It debuted on Celebrity Solstice this year and clearly earned its ticket to Reflection.
Fine Cut Steakhouse is the Forbes Travel Guide-rated spot from the Edge Series. Thirty-day dry-aged steaks and fresh seafood. This is your anniversary dinner. Dress accordingly.
Bora is a Mediterranean rooftop concept that first showed up on Celebrity Xcel in late 2025. Lively brunch with customizable cocktails by day, chef-led tableside dishes by night. A restaurant with a personality shift. Respect.
Where Does It Sail?
Celebrity Reflection will sail the Caribbean year-round from Fort Lauderdale. The itineraries, per Celebrity Cruises:
- Three- and four-night escapes to Key West and The Bahamas
- Six- and eight-night journeys hitting Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire, Turks & Caicos, and Grand Cayman
There is also the 2027 President’s Cruise on the renewed ship from May 10 to 14, 2027, if you want to sail when the whole brand is showing off.
Suite guests in The Retreat get an upgraded sundeck with an oversized hot tub and a redesigned lounge. Returning favorites like Café Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, World Class Bar, and Camp at Sea are all getting enhancements too.
So Why Should You Take A Celebrity Cruise?
Because this is the rare cruise announcement where the upgrades match the hype. Why should you take a Celebrity cruise over just booking another resort? Variety without effort. You wake up in a new place, your food and entertainment options run deep, and you never repack a bag.
The new Reflection stacks the deck even more. Tacos by the pool, dry-aged steaks at night, dueling pianos in between, and a park on the roof when you need to unplug. That is a full vacation ecosystem on one ship.
The renewed Celebrity Reflection starts sailing in March 2027. Bookings are available through celebritycruises.com or your travel advisor. Grab your vacation clothes. The time of your life has a departure date now.
